Today a hundred people defied the chilly weather and gathered at Downtown Crossing in Boston for the annual Stand Out organized by the Alliance for Water Justice in Palestine to mark the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
The event, co-sponsored by JVP-Boston, Mass Peace Action and JP4P, featured shrouds symbolizing the tens of thousands of children slaughtered by Israel, with weapons supplied by the US government. We handed out 600 copies of a flyer that emphasized US complicity in funding the war - with well over a billion dollars of the $38 billion given Israel over the course of the genocide extracted from Massachusetts taxpayers. Afterwards, a shroud-bearing contingent entered Macy's which was filled with 'Black Friday' shoppers, and processed through the store.
