The Community Hydroponic Garden in the Aida Refugee Camp

The Alliance is a proud supporter of 1 for 3, the organization that was the catalyst for the Community Hydroponic Garden in the UN-run Aida refugee camp.

Watch this inspiring video!

The construction on the garden has just been completed, ahead of schedule!

Training users, planting, and then harvesting, will be the next steps. It is such an exciting development for 1for3, the residents of the camp, and of course for the individual gardeners. After their training on the hydroponic growing system and solar power energy, the gardeners will be producing fresh food for their families and for the community.

More about the project:

  • 120 families, members of which are patients in 1for3’s Health for Palestine program (H4P), are the primary gardeners

  • 800 people directly served with fresh food and produce

  • 45 greenhouses already created and given by 1for3 to families in the camp

  • 300 people are beneficiaries of existing greenhouse-based produce
